For years, the fight against cheating in Tibia has kept us busy. We have invested lots of time and resources into finding and developing proper ways and means to address the problem. Some of them looked promising, at least for a certain time, others less so. All in all, though, our measures were not yet successful enough to ease the cheating problem in a satisfying way. Your feedback, the feedback of Tibia's passionate community, clearly told us about your continuing frustration and disappointment concerning the botting situation ingame.
While we have struggled at times, we have never given up the fight against cheating. Especially during the last year, we have intensified our efforts in order to make progress. Also, the numerous bot reports you have sent and the feedback you have provided so far were not only a big help but also a constant reminder why this fight matters so much: It matters because of you, Tibians, and because of your unique dedication to Tibia. We truly appreciate your loyalty and patience.
So as we continue to work on improving and refining our measures, we would like to resume providing you with information about the number of accounts deleted for using unofficial software to play. Here are the numbers of the past three months:
- August 2014: 11344 accounts
- September 2014: 17739 accounts
- October 2014 (so far): 15976 accounts
Thank you for your support and please keep on reporting players you suspect of botting!
For a better Tibia!
